How to Hide Files or Folders in Windows 7/8/10?

Step 1

I have a Folder named Books I want to hide this folder from other users. So I will do simple steps for this. Firstly I will make a folder and put all my data in the folder. In the picture below you can see my folder.

Now Click the Ribbon which is shown in the image below. When you click on the ribbon a bar will open like the image below. Then you click on the view button on the top of the bar. So many other options will be shown to you. Now follow the third image below.

Here in this image, I clicked on the folder. You need to select your files and folders which you want to hide it.

Now after clicking on the folder, click on the hide selected item(4) which is shown in the image on No 4. Then a popup will appear on the screen. Click on OK button, so the folder will disappear.
